Three to start

1. RB Warrick Dunn, Buccaneers

With RB Earnest Graham on injured reserve, Dunn becomes Tampa Bay's top back. That's a good spot to be in against Detroit, which is last in the NFL against the run (171.5 ypg).

2. QB Jason Campbell, Redskins

Campbell has thrown for only 368 total yards the past two games, with 1 TD to 3 INTs, but he should return to form Sunday at Seattle, which is 31st against the pass (265.2).

3. Broncos defense

Denver is allowing 27.1 ppg this season, 27th-best in the league. The Broncos held Oakland to 14 points in their first meeting in Week 1, though, and the Raiders have gotten much worse since then. Oakland has a total of 21 points in the past three games.

Three to sit

1. RB Fred Taylor, Jaguars

Taylor has shown signs of life the past two games, rushing for 138 yards, but he'll return to being a disappointment Sunday against Minnesota, which is second against the run (73.9).

2. WR Jerricho Cotchery, Jets

Cotchery leads New York with 48 catches for 597 yards but has only 12 catches for 167 yards the past three games. He should continue to struggle Sunday at Tennessee, which is sixth against the pass (186.7) and has allowed five passing TDs all season.

3. QB Philip Rivers, Chargers

Rivers has 2 TDs to 4 INTs the past two games. He should struggle against Indianapolis, which is ninth against the pass (189.4) and has allowed two passing TDs all season.

Extra points

Saints WR Lance Moore has 20 catches for 268 yards and 3 TDs the past three games and continues to be QB Drew Brees' top option. He's a safe start Monday night against Green Bay, though the Packers are third against the pass (176.3).

Bills WR Lee Evans needs to be on your bench. Bills QB Trent Edwards has looked afraid to throw downfield lately. On Sunday against a woeful Kansas City run defense he won't have to.

Last week's picks

Three to start

Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger threw for 308 yards.

Dolphins defense allowed 15 points, had five sacks.

Seahawks WR Bobby Engram caught two passes for 30 yards.

Three to sit

Chargers WR Vincent Jackson caught two passes for 25 yards.

Ravens QB Joe Flacco threw for 164 yards and 1 TD with 2 INTs, rushed for 57 yards.

Packers RB Ryan Grant rushed for 145 yards and 1 TD, caught one pass for 6 yards.

Readers' forum

Each week, readers can e-mail their pick for the top scoring fantasy player, as determined by a Yahoo! league, to

Deadline is 1 p.m. Sunday, with one pick per person allowed. The winner will be announced Tuesdays at HamptonRoads.com/blogs/mike-connors.

Note: The Fantasy Chatter contest will take next week off for Thanksgiving.

Here's Week 11 winner Erik Kashnikow from Fairfax, who picked Chiefs QB Tyler Thigpen:

Three-time, yes that's right, three-time Fantasy Chatter champion. There were unsubstantiated rumors that fewer people were entering the contest because they figured I would win anyway, then I proved them all wrong. While like Ali I am the greatest, I am not infallible. Two weeks in a row I did not win but now I am back and I will not let that happen again.

My opponent this week, 18-1, lost to me before, and will easily lose to me again, especially since I have realized that my kicker was no longer kicking.

A little piece of advice for everyone out there: Apparently three-time Fantasy Chatter champion does not look good on a resume, so while it may possibly be the greatest accomplishment of all time, it will not help you get a job.
